Madame Tussauds


          Madame Tussauds is a famous wax museum in London, England, with branches in several major cities in the world. The museum was first founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud.
          Marie Tussaud (born 1761, died 1850), born as Marie Grosholtz in Strasbourg, France. His mother worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Philippe Curtius, a physician who is proficient in making wax statues. Curtius educate in the Tussaud wax sculpture. In 1765, Curtius made a waxwork Marie-Jeanne du Barry, mistress of King Louis XV of France. The mold of the statue is the oldest existing objects from the history of the museum's wax statue.

          Madame Tussaud's wax museum has now grown into a tourist destination in London, alongside (until recently) the London Planetarium in its west side. This museum has branches in Amsterdam, Las Vegas, New York City, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Hollywood-Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. Now, statues Madame Tussauds wax consists of historical figures, royalty, movie stars, famous athletes and figures of the famous criminal. Madame Tussauds Museum is currently owned by a company called Merlin Entertainments travel when it acquired Tussauds Group in May 2007.
